Annette M. Webber ~~ Dark Fantasy & Mythic Story Architect
A Utah-based neurodivergent storyteller, Annette crafts liminal worlds where folklore and myths bleed into the present — through dark fantasy, Twine games, and Inherited Magic (a Celtic myth-detective story starring Nora Harper, the Morrigan’s ghost-solving descendant). Her work lives at the intersection of cozy and creepy, inviting audiences to wander realms that are part hearth, part haunting.
Trained in mythic bricolage—via writers’ conferences, retreats, book coaching (Craft Better Books), and a forthcoming BA in Creative Writing (SNHU, 2026). When she’s not falling into research rabbit holes about Egyptian funeral rites or the secret lives of ravens, she dreams of publishing with houses like Penguin Random House or The Mythic Circle. She also dreams of hand-lettering illuminated curses or scripting sonic hauntings for future podcasts.
When offline, she’s birdwatching, gaming (a WoW lore addict), or photographing Utah’s moody landscape—all while herding her chaos gremlins (aka children) with her husband.
Current Projects: ~~A feminist reimagining of the Orpheus myth (where we hear another version from Eurydice) with ink and Twine games. ~ ~A supernatural horror about a sentient house that hungers. ~~A Twine game that’s cozy and gothic, where the player tends to a haunted mansion. ~~Inherited Magic (Celtic myth-detective story feat. Nora Harper & the unquiet dead).
